iGoogle rocks! I’m so grateful for it. Now I can actually have a switchboard of my own! I’ve always used Google as my home page and now of course iGoogle. Not only can you keep adding stuff to it, you can categorize your “gadgets”, customize them, and move them around. What’s better, you can give different “themes” across different tabs of your iGoogle. The themes are so smart that depending on where you are located (by entering your zip code), the look of the themes change according to time of the day!! This is my current home page:

Just hit “add stuff” and you can have technically all the gadgets you want! So many people are developing their own gadgets and have them comply with iGoogle and the web setting. This is my kind of technology!

Donkey Kong Jungle Climber

This Nintendo DS game is really fun! I’m only 13% complete but it’s already making my thumbs sore. It’s different in that the actions rely largely on the corner Left and Right buttons as opposed to the traditional arrow and A, B, X, Y buttons. And it’s so action packed and intense that my palms are usually soaked with sweat when playing. The aiming is no longer just up, left, and right but also diagonal, sort of like aiming in Bubble Bobble and Snood. You can’t play it for too long or it’ll get you dizzy as the characters keep spinning. We’ll see if I will ever successfully pass this game!

Vacancy (2007)

This movie sets me in the mood for Halloween. Playing it in broad daylight was still a little scary. I like watching this kind of movies. Categorizing Vacancy as horror may be misleading as it’s not a ghost or vampire movie where there are disgusting/gross scenes. But it is also more than a thriller because it involves killing, almost massive if considering the continuity of the series of killing. Here’s the plot of the story taken from the back of the DVD:
“When David (Luke Wilson) and Amy Fox’s (Kate Beckinsale) car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, they are forced to spend the night at the only motel around, with only the TV to entertain them… until they discover that the low-budget slasher videos they find in their room were all filmed in the very room they’re sitting in. With hidden cameras now aimed at them… trapping them in rooms, crawlspaces, underground tunnels… and filming their every move, David and Amy must struggle to get out alive before they end up the next victims on tape.”
After reading that, it’s pretty obvious how this movie can be excited and a little scary. It’s only about 90 minutes long which is the perfect length, keeps things going quickly. I would recommend this film!

Halloween is near!

Tonight at Brad’s we had a wonderful Halloween Costume party. Most of the people wore costumes and my friend Mercedes was so bright, she MADE her outfit. She was Princess Fiona (ogre version) from Shrek! I was a Chinese take-out box! Allen was a boring doctor! heh heh! Here’s a picture of the whole party! (well, almost, except for Brad, who took this picture. Thanks, man!)

Somebody’s crazy Halloween decoration!

I spent some $$ buying candies today because this will be the first Halloween in my new neighborhood! I hope lots of kids dressed in their costumes will show up! The candies fill up a whole pumpkin-faced plastic bucket, I feel them calling out to me every time I pass by! That’s because they’re all delicious chocolates~~ I’m really afraid I’ll eat them all before the holiday and have nothing to hand out to the kids!

(taken at work. someone brought in an ugly pumkin and made its face
mimic the little pumpkin bowl. so cute!!~~)

Justin Timberlake – FutureSex/LoveSounds

I hate him! His ego, his nasal voice, his souless, “I wanna be black”, step-counting dance moves, and I don’t think he’s as good looking as he’s protraited to be….. His first album sucked (except for the single “Cry Me A River”, which was exceptionally good!). So, his second album “FutureSex/LoveSounds” really came as a guilty pleasure.

I still don’t appreciate how he sounds and sings, but the songs from this album are good. I can’t deny that he’s got some talents, and I’ll be SOOOOOOOOOO happy if one day he decides to retire to the back – writing/composing, and producing songs – instead of performing and doing shows.

Album cover rating: 3/10 (yuck! Justin!)
